David Allen graduated from George Washington University in Washington, DC with a degree of Bachelors of Business Administration in accounting as well as a minor in Art History. He currently resides in the Washington metropolitan area.

He has been buying, trading, and appraising antiques since 1974. These activities extend through the United States and Europe. He has exhibited at major antique and print shows across the United States.

He publishes a catalogue of American Prints once a year.

His areas of expertise include silver, bronzes, paintings, furniture and porcelains. This expertise has earned him a fine reputation in the local antique community where he is actively involved.
